Enforcing all the laws, all the time. The crimes are real, the cops are puppets, and the criminals are everywhere.

I was going to put the humor tag on this, but getting arrested for a stupid law isn't humorous. (but, you might laugh anyway)

The police work for the police chief who answers to the mayor. Or in a bigger municipality there's a police commissioner who is the intermediary between city council and the police chief. So in my opinion it's a polarity thing in modern times where there's a "blanket" attitude about all police. But they are not all connected, really, i think? And the other thing is, the "slogans" are almost always "To protect and serve the common wealth" or commonwealth. It's not people! :) I've only been in jail a couple times for short stays, but I've felt like the police are basically a hired gang. They aren't usually literally gangsters i suppose. I often work with cops and they are good people most of the time. But the polarity thing going on is like "this is all bad" or "this is all good" in real life it's "complicated" :)

Which is why some people consider Sheriffs to be the true law of the land, because the police are more like sophisticated security guards with guns, hired to protect the city, not the people, in contrast to the Sheriffs and deputies who are elected and essentially operate by the Constitution. But there's plenty of bad press about Sheriffs too, the polarity thing

Getting rid of idiotic laws, like the ones in the video, takes away a tool of abuse. Piss off the wrong person and they can dredge up all sorts of laws that are still on the books, but haven't been uses in decades, to make your life miserable.
