I saw a documentary about this a while ago, there are several innocent people who are treated worse than animals, as well as criminals of all kinds.
But the big countries and powerful people of the world don't give a shit.

As I understand the prison is contracted for a period of one year. I believe the issue is these people may not have had a court trial, also despite the president's rhetoric about "war" there is no war or even threat of war. He cannot bypass the courts to haul (innocent until proven guilty) foreigners to a private out-of-country prison.

The US court system is not perfect but everyone should have the chance to defend themselves in a fair trial, regardless of the charges people are innocent until proven guilty.
