When I look at this from Streams, there is still alt text, but it is the default which is the filename. Image is not duplicated.

I suspect the problem is with the alt-text feature of the photo application. To be confirmed by other Sreams users.

I guess you want alt text for accessibility for visually impaired people? Good idea. This is clumsy in Hubzilla unfortunately.

There is no image meta option like in Mastodon. For now you can only put an alt text into the message body directly, after you've insert-uploaded your image. Like this

[zrl=https://path_to_your_image_link]
[zmg=path_to_your_image.jpg]
ALT TEXT[/zmg][/zrl]

I proposed to automatically use a title for an alt text, if that was filled into the "Title" field in the photo editor. If you like this idea, then give it a thumbs up on the git, here:

Thank you. Actually, I'm on Streams where there is an option for Alt-text in the settings. There was a small bug, which has been fixed in a recent version.
