It's got to be safe it's built by people we know not by a faceless corporation. Just go to the contact page to see who is behind it all..Oh I suppose they didn't put anyone's name on it. So faceless individuals. And all you have to do is "donate". Looks like a shit sandwich to me, not biting

@Waitman Gobble you have to connect a Stripe account after you logged in by your masto account - since i have no Stripe account i will not test it farther...

if the project gets developed farther and will support more fedi apps it may be an option to self host CrowdBucks

Oh I see. I suppose it would be good to mention it's a shim for Stripe on the home page. I'm not 100% but I think stripe can only be used by registered businesses in Europe, maybe in the USA too. I recall having to send my corporation docs when I set up stripe although I haven't used it. PayPal might be a better solution.
