So many years ago I found a collection of episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies that whoever posted them on archive.org claimed were in the #PublicDomain. I got all excited and posted about it somewhere. @Linux Walt Alt (@lnxw37a2) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} reminded me to be a grown up and not believe everything that I read on archive.

Fast forward a few years and I have discovered that 55 episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies are, in fact, public domain. The entire first season and 19 episodes of the second season ended up there. At the time for their copyright renewal came up the copyright laws in the US were changing and somehow these episodes fell in the cracks and are now available to us.

Is that the one where the dude had to climb up the telephone pole and hook his phone into the line to make a phone call?

I think that is Green Acres. Sort of the reverse. City folk moved to the country.

@Marshall Sutherland Geesh... I wasn't even thinking. I was pounding my brain trying to figure out what @Waitman Gobble was talking about. Of course, it was Green Acres. Duh!

The Hillbillies was better than Green Acres and had Ellie Mae too!
