Interestingly, I'm able to react here. Most posts to the Streams group have been closed to me going back a couple of months now.
I have quite different takes on this thread depending on the viewing context, but then I have limited permissions with the group which precede the recent troubles with rumbly, so it's hard to tell exactly what's going. Posting now from your channel page.
There are 2 posts of this, one in Streams and this one in my page.
That is the way things normally work for me, when I post to a group. If I set the post permissions to only the group, there will be one post in the group, and a copy on my page which is "direct mail" and can only be seen by me. I think that is equivalent to using "@!" with the group name.
This post of yours uses "!" with the group name, so the copy on your page is public.
Well, I think that is how it works!
"and a copy on my page which is "direct mail" and can only be seen by me... "
But you can see and comment in this copy of the post that is not in the forum page...

You can se the 2, one in your stream but for the forum page, and one in your stream but for my connections...
I don't think is how need to work..

Yes, it's a public post on your page. I think this is because the original post has
!Streams
instead of @!Streams
. I'm a little confused about that stuff.
I think the right way is appear just 1, because 2 can confuse people... And comments can go to the not right post (talking about an "help forum"...).
Yes, I can imagine, but for now it's not really a problem, as we don't have thousands of subscribers ;) , and those who use the forum know how to get by.
@Giac El Vecio - I just use the "lock" button when I'm writing a post, and select the group as the only recipient. For me, that's easier than remembering whether it's "!@" or @!" or "!*&$*%@" or whatever.
I'm curious to try connecting to a Lemmy group, but the one that I tried didn't accept my connection, so I don't know if it works.
